Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.0 g), "Babylon" mint, struck c. 325-323 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdess. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle and scepter, in left field, M, monogram under throne. Price 3673; Müller 672. Obverse die a little worn, but Herakles stylish; Zeus, on the reverse, quite fine. Faintly toned. About Extremely Fine.
