Rare Collection: Muky Studio Photographs from Something Wild and Happy Anniversary 40 Photographs Total. Menyhert Munkacsi (1909-1999) known throughout the film industry for 60 years as "Muky" and who the New York Times called "the Mathew Brady" of film when they profiled/reviewed the outdoor set photography of some 75 films. He was also an accomplished studio photographer working for Warner Brothers from 1930 to 1940.
8 11 x 14 black and white photographs taken on set while filming Something Wild. These photos feature the stars Ralph Meeker, Mildred Dunnock, and Carroll Baker. Four of these photographs are stamped on verso with "Photo by Muky" in red ink. 1 photograph is signed by Muky in the bottom right corner.
32 11 x 14 black and white photographs taken on set while filming Happy Anniversary. These photos feature the stars David Niven, Monique von Vooren, Carl Reiner, Patty Duke, Mitzi Gaynor, and Elizabeth Wilson. These photographs are stamped on verso with either "Photo by Muky" in red ink or identification in blue ink. 7 photos are signed by Muky in the bottom right corner. Estimated Value $200 - 400
