Hungary. Ducat, 1612. Fr-81; KM-37. 3.48 grams. 22.9 mm. Kremnitz mint. Matthias II, 1608-1619. Crowned monarch standing in close robed, scepter in right hand, orb and cross of Lorraine in left. K-B on either side of ruler in field with beaded inner circle around. Leg: -*MATTI-II.D.G.- HUN.BO.REX* Reverse: Crowned Madonnia in 'flames' with scepter in right hand and christ child in left, in beaded circle. Leg: .AR.AV.DV.BV.MA (shield) MO.CO.TY.161Z. Full original mint luster, well struck and choice. NGC graded MS-63.

Matthias produced few coins, both for the Holy Roman Empire and for Hungary. This example is both choice and very scarce.
