1807 S-271 R1 "Comet Obverse". PCGS graded VF-30. Choice glossy chocolate brown. A beautiful cent, virtually flawless. The notable marks are a small nick left of the L in LIBERTY and a rim nick over the E in UNITED. M-LDS, Breen state VI, with a strong "Comet" die flaw in the field behind the head plus similar but weaker die flaws in the fields on either side of the portrait. A wonderful example of this popular "Redbook" variety in a die state that displays the "Comet" flaw in full bloom. Our grade is VF20 choice.
Estimated Value $500-UP.

Realized $1,783
