19th Century Swiss Music Box, Single Cylinder Music Box, Three Songs. Lovely 19th Century Swiss music box in fine working order. Winds with an internal lever in compartment left of the cylinder, the tones having exceptional volume. When it comes to stopping, the "breaks" are a bit out of alignment. One additional step is required and that is simply touching finger to paddle wheel. Cabinet appears to be solid walnut and has a double row of inlays of brass clovers alternating with mother of pearl, four-point stars on lid. The breaks in playing appear to point to having three songs. Estimated Value $600 - 1,000
