Apollo Program, c1960s, "Apollo Site 7" 3-D Lunar Landing Site Topographical Map (32.5x35") A fascinating 3-D, 1:2,000 scale map we have not seen before. The map shows the lunar topography in white and is only marked to show the "Ellipse Center" and the "Surveyor III" landing site. According to the markings at the lower right, this is one of a series of four similar maps showing: "A" Ord III-9d (25), "B" Relief Model (LMS), "C" Landing Ellipse and "D" Relief Map. Made for NASA by the US Topographic Command with relief data by the Mapping Service Laboratory of the Manned Spacecraft Center using Photometric methods. Striking and different.
