Lot 38

1802/0 C-2 R3 Overdate 2 over 0, Reverse of 1803 PCGS graded VF20. Glossy light olive and chocolate brown. The surfaces are smooth except for a small patch of very fine roughness at the top of the hair ribbon and a smaller spot of corrosion hidden in the hair at the forehead. Otherwise this piece is choice and the eye appeal remains excellent. Nicely struck E-MDS Manley state 2.0, with a couple radial die lines between the I & B in LIBERTY. The date is bold and the overdate feature is obvious. The legends are strong. Struck with the reverse rotated 15 degrees CCW relative to the normal head-to-foot die orientation. Our grade is F15. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 6 finer, 1 in 25, 3 in 30, 1 in 35, 1 in 45 for the variety. Estimate Value $5,000 - UP
