Stöhr, Otto -- Post World War II German Painter. Old Town Nuremberg German painter of which very little is known in post World War II Germany. Oil on panel 15 x 20" framed to 18 x 22" in gilt wood, signed O. Stöhr in lower left corner and on verso, a hand lettered Christmas greeting presenting this painting to another family by the artist. Dated 1948, painting captures Old Nuremberg, very much a nostalgic look, after the rallies and trials surrounding the former rule by The Nazi Party. An accomplished work accurately capturing the unique architecture of this part of the city, it has been kept in excellent condition for 70 years. Quite appealing. Estimate Value $300 - UP
