1882, $20 Gold Certificate. . Fr-1178. . KL-555. CGA graded Gem Uncirculated 68. Even a brief inspection of this note finds everything about it that is tops in the grade class, from vibrant color to the deep saturated embossing, plus eye catching pristine surfaces. Both sides approach perfection with nice margins all around. The back design might be a tad high, but every detail gives the collector a thrill. Rare to find this such a high grade note! We might even go so far as to say this F-1178 is unmatched by any other for eye appeal, were it not for its lesser technical grade than a PCGS 68PPQ that sold recently. It should prove enticing to buyers.
