1883/1883. FS-012.9. NGC graded MS-63. Mostly untoned, but generally frosty and bright with a hint of sunset tone. This is the final year the Shield nickel design was produced, and soon Liberty nickels were filling the bins at the Philadelphia Mint, while these handsome Shield nickel designs were shelved. Housed in an Old Style Holder. Pop 5; 7 finer for the variety at NGC, 3 in 64, 1 in 65, 3 in 66. Estimated Value $200 - UP
