Lot 35

1794 S-49 R2 PCGS graded AU50. Choice glossy medium chocolate brown. Frost covers the protected areas and this cent has outstanding eye appeal. The surfaces are smooth and the only notable marks are some small rim nicks including one at the top of the cap, another over the E in UNITED, and a couple more over ATE in STATES. Nicely struck EDS, Breen state I. There are light die clashmarks on both sides but the crack down through the E in LIBERTY has not formed. Graded EF40 net VF35 and tied for CC#5 in the Noyes census, his photo #59258. Our grade is VF35. A nice cent that comes with an equally nice provenance. The attribution and Husak provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 1 finer in 58. PCGS #35609. Estimated Value $6,500 - UP
