Steve McQueen Signed Photo ca. 1961. (1930-1980) Beloved actor from the 1960s and 70s, frequently called in the press "The King of Cool". McQueen got his start on television in the 1950s and enjoyed great success with "Wanted: Dead or Alive. But it was in film he cam into his own with THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, THE GREAT ESCAPE, and LOVE WITH THE PROPER STRANGER. But BULLITT in 1968 made him a powerhouse boxoffice star. Soon after THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR and Le MANS. McQueen succombed to cancer at age 50. Offered is a vintage original publicity still taken on the set of a lesser title of McQueen's in 1961 entitled THE HONEYMOON MACHINE. Nevertheless, a great staged photo of him atop a motorcycle reviewing the script. Photo ever so slightly yellowing given the years but McQueen's autograph is quite legible in upper left corner executed in blue ball point pen. $1,500 - 2,500
