1862, $1 United States Note. . Fr-17a. . KL-2. CGA graded Choice Uncirculated 64. All early U.S. Notes are in strong demand from paper money buyers. This handsome note has nice green overprint and a red seal with red serial numbers. The corners aren't quite sharply pointed, but the margins are complete and there is a nice absence of the usual counting smudge at upper right. The portrait is that of Salmon P. Chase, Secretary of the Treasury under Abraham Lincoln.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,500.

Realized $1,955
