Marilyn Monroe Signed Menu from the Hotel Tropicana, 1959. The most iconic and recognizable Hollywood celebrities in history, her image likely exceeding the familiarity of Charlie Chaplin as The Tramp. Norma Jean Mortenson, Marilyn Monroe was the most photographed and public woman in the 1950s and early 1960s. Her signature is highly prize by collectors and remains so with each new generation. Here in the lower right corner of a New Year's Eve menu from The Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas, Marilyn Monroe has boldly inscribed "To Ed, Marilyn Monroe." Menu is in very good condition with two light food/beverage stains one in top left corner and one in lower left corner on front and one on verso, but Monroe's signature is clean and bold. 1959 Monroe enjoyed one of her biggest successes with SOME LIKE IT HOT and was frequently out on the "circuit" for awards and press publicity which culminated in a Golden Globe Award in March, 1960. $1,000 - 1,200
