1913-S $5 Indian. NGC graded MS-62. Mostly untoned. Scarce date. This is one of a select group of anomalous branch-mint dates in the series where mintage is relatively high but Mint States are virtually unavailable. The surfaces are bright from the lovely mint frost that swirls around both sides. Struck with preciseness only now and then found, the mintmark shows typical soft detail (PCGS # 8526) .
