Richard Ramirez: Serial Killer (1984-1985) Handwritten Letter to Female Pen Pal, from 1993 in Prison. Ricardo Muñoz Ramírez, known as Richard Ramirez (1960-2013), was an American serial killer, rapist, and burglar. His highly publicized home invasion crime spree terrorized the residents of the greater Los Angeles area and San Francisco between 1984-1985 and during that time was referenced in the media as "The Nightstalker". Handwritten single sheet of notebook paper 11 x 8.5" addressed to a Catharine, likely a pen pal that criminals can attract. He thanks her for pictures sent (!) but that his mail is held for a few days. He then begins to describe his attraction of "seeing students at the beach in their g strings". He then wishes Catherine a Happy Birthday and says hello to all her girlfriends and that he is on the 7th floor with visiting from 9 to 10 on Sat. and Sunday in case they are in the neighborhood. He then promises to draw and send her an "evil character" and wishes her to stay well and happy" your friend Richard.
