1795 C-3 R5+ Punctuated Date, Plain Edge PCGS graded VF25. PCGS graded VF-25. Rather frosty medium brown and light chocolate blended with a few small spots of lighter tan toning including one on the 9 in the date and several more on the upper right part of the reverse. The planchet is smooth except for a few microscopic planchet flakes, as struck. The notable flakes are in the field off the end of the pole and at the opposing area around OF. The only contact mark worthy of mention is a dull dent at RI in AMERICA. Extremely rare EDS, Manley state 1.0, with HALF CENT complete. This is the Manley plate coin for the variety and die state 1.0 in his 1998 reference on the half cent series. Near the end of the condition census for the variety, regardless of the die state.
