MAD Magazine, Two Original Illustrated Panels: "The Lighter Side of Hobbies" by 50 Year Veteran of MAD, Dave Berg (1920-2002) Beloved American illustrator and cartoonist known for his celebrated career at MAD magazine after contributing to several comic books in the 1940s including two years with Stan Lee at Timely Comics (now known as Marvel Comics.) Berg contributed to Mad for 46 years beginning in 1957 until his death, appearing in 368 issues. Two panels, each 24½ x 18½" and each with three funny strips regarding hobbies. From a dad hogging his son's train set, to Dave Berg illustrating himself regarding "protecting the investment" of his son's aquarium and tropical fish to a fantastic strip regarding coin collecting with a waiter cruelly being left a single cent only to have it be a 1909 S VDB Lincoln penny worth hundreds of dollars. Both in excellent condition, both signed and dated Berg, 1968 Pages 1 & 2. Estimated Value $600 - UP
