Sasanian Kingdom. Hormizd II, AD 302-309. AR Drachm (4.30 g). Bust right of the king wearing eagle crown with korymbos. Reverse: Fire altar with ribbon and bust left in flames, flanked by two attendants, the left wearing winged crown, the other wearing mural crown; pellet on altar shaft. Rare variety with dot on the lower part of fire altar. Sunrise 816; Gobl type 1/1a var; SNS type 1a/3a. Well struck on a full broad medallic flan, untoned. Superb Extremely Fine.
