(Hawaii) Thurston, A.G. Autograph Letter Signed "A.G. Thurston" as Clerk, Land Office, one page, 10" x 8", Land Office, 1 July 1851. Fine; scattered, uneven toning. To O.R. Wood, Honolulu, stating: "The Minister of the Interior is authorized to grant you a fee simple title to the lot lmentioned in your application upon your paying…the sum of Thirty Dollars." A.G. Thurson was the son of missionaries Asa and Lucy Thurston and the father of Lorrin Thurston, who drafted the infamous Bayonet Constitution. A.G. was elected to the Hawaiian Legislature (1853), and became Speaker of the House in 1854.
