(Hawaii) South Kona Mortgage Foreclosure Affadavit. Document regarding a mortgage made by Puamana and Mailohi of Honolulu, Oahu, and D.S. Kaui of Omokaa, Kona Hema, Hawaii to Mrs. S. Robertson of Honolulu, which was foreclosed for nonpayment, 1 p., 13" x 8", 5 Oct. 1898. Very good; toning.With tipped in foreclosure notices in Hawaiian and English. Signed by Thomas G. Thrum as Registrar of Conveyances; he issued the first Hawaiian Almanac and Annual and was a leading writer on Hawaiian archaeology and folklore. Also signed by W.S. Edingsa s Notary Public, with blind stamp. Edings served as Circuit Judge of the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Circuit courts and was appointed Associate Justice, Supreme Court, Territory of Hawaii, in Sept. 1918.
