Kingdom of Bithynia. Prusias I, c. 228-185 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.4 g). Diademed head of Prusias bearded, right. Reverse: Zeus standing left, crowning his name with wreath held in his right hand, leaning on scepter in his left hand. SNG Cop 623 var; BMC 2; Ward 592; cf. Sear 7259. Oxidation stains around the obverse borders. Magnificent Hellenistic portrait and struck in very high relief. Extremely Fine.
