Magnificent Early 20th Century 18K Yellow Gold Revival Brooch or Pendant of a Tall Ship with Seed and Baroque Pearls and Lovely Enamel. Exquisitely crafted early 20th Century 18K yellow gold brooch or pendant, a revival of earlier Baroque jewelry of the 1700 - 1800s. Beautifully crafted with seed pearls creating the sails and small, irregular pearls at the turrets (enamel and turret pearls are on both sides of the pendant) Completing the look, irregular pearl drops with tiny red beads dangle from underneath the ship. The enamel is a swirl of deep blue, sky blue, gold and a touch of pink at the bow. The stern consist of a tiny enamel panel of the sun smiling. So many details to enjoy.
Ship can be worn as a pendant or has a very sturdy pin back. 2¼ x 2" and has a total gross weight of 19.65 grams. We note one seed pearl missing in top right sale in the small area of oxidation, otherwise a gorgeous piece. Estimated Value $1,000 - 2,000
