ORDER OF ST. STANISLAUS, Cross. 3rd Class. Military Division. ORDER OF ST. STANISLAUS, Cross. 3rd Class. Military Division. Gold. 37 mm. Circa end of the 19th – early 20th Century. By Eduard. Hallmarked 56 (14K) on a loop; "??" and "???????" marks on reverse. With old ribbon. The swords have been crudely added to what was a non-military cross. The primitive and archaic manner in which this addition was accomplished can only lead to the conclusion that this was done in pre-1917 Russia, apparently by the order of the recipient. Condition: Minimal wear.
