Lot 2885

1879-CC Morgan Dollar. NGC graded MS-64 Deep Prooflike. The satin surfaces ripple with original luster. The coin is untoned and silvery. The only contact marks appear on the eyebrow of Liberty. Far from the normal example of this scarce CC-mint issue is the respectable amount of detail throughout with no signs of weakness to the chest feathers on the eagle. Read this description over, study the coin or the coin's photograph, place your catalog aside, and then take in a deep breath of air before arriving at a fair market bid, one that won't be checked by the other bidders in the sale, one with enough force behind it to vanquish all challengers for its ownership. Pop 11; 1 finer in 65. (PCGS # 97087) .
Estimated Value $8,500 - 9,000.
