Mexico. Original Maximilian Autographed Medal Award Document. An award document for the Maximilian Civil Merit Medal bestowed upon Don Santiago Landwehos on October 4, 1863 for merit in the Arts of Sombredena. With blind chancery stamp and original hand signature of Maximilian at bottom. Folded and worn with chipping and paper loss at the top and bottom edges, none of which affect the signature. A Very Rare signature especially on an award document of the period.
