1851 N-20 R3+ Both 1's Repunched PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Very attractive glossy light to medium chocolate brown and steel. Satiny mint frost covers the fields and protected areas and this cent offers choice mint state eye appeal although there is a trace of rub on the highest points of the portrait. The only defect is a shallow planchet flake in the dentils over the I in UNITED (as struck). LDS, die state d, with die cracks on both sides. The repunching on the first 1 is barely visible and gone on the second 1, and the tops of the C & E in CENT are joined by crumbling. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 7 finer: 4 in 64, 3 in 65. Estimated Value $500 - UP
