1915-S Buffalo Nickel. PCGS graded MS-64. Pink and gold toning with tiny specks on both sides, and nearly a gem. One of the lower mintage dates with a scant 1,505,000 struck for ice cream cones to beer purchases. This one was set aside and preserved, and today is perfect for the date collector who demands top quality.
Estimated Value $900 - 1,100.
From the Benson Collection and purchased on October 3, 1944 from Ira S. Reed in a set of nickels from 1913 to 1938 for $350.00.
