1978 Shuttle Astronaut Candidates Autographed Covers. An interesting lot of 31 different cachet event covers signed by what appears to be 34 of the 35 astronaut candidates. We note autographs of Scobee, McNair, Griggs, Brandenstein, Coates, Covey, Creighton, Gibson, Gregory, Shaw, Shriver, Fisher, Walker, Bluford, etc. One cover is also signed by the Head of the Astronaut Office, Deke Slayton. Many of these astronaut candidates went on to illustrious careers as NASA shuttle astronauts. An attractive lot.
