Lot 2674

1934, $5 Federal Reserve Note. DGS Mule Star Note. PCGS Currency Fine 15. . Fr-1956-J. This new discovery is only the third reported example of this rare star Mule with the dark green seal. It falls about midway between the other two known serial numbers, and is evenly circulated with a little soiling that is commensurate with the assigned grade. This is a difficult note to estimate, as the Lindquist & Schwartz value is likely very conservative in the extreme, but given its rarity and the current interest in Small Size Fed varieties we could see this piece surpass even our estimate.
Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,500.

Realized $575
