1851 N-1 R3 Repunched 18 PCGS graded MS64 Brown, CAC Approved. Very attractive lustrous light olive and chocolate. Satiny and virtually flawless except for a puff of light reddish brown toning at OF and a collection of shallow planchet flakes over ICA (as struck). MDS+, die state b late. The die lines in the field around the date are gone, fine die rust (microscopic lumps) covers the neck and lower half of the face, and there is a very faint die crack from the coronet to star 5. The die lines over the N in UNITED are dull but still visible. Our grade is MS62+, close to MS63, and CC#8 in the Grellman census. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 4; 1 finer in 66. Estimated Value $500 - UP
