Marlon Brando: 12 Vintage Original Lippman and Van Pelt Photos from THE WILD ONE, 1953. Marlon Brando (1924-2004) one of the most influential and at times, controversial actors of the 20th Century. His performances in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, ON THE WATERFRONT, THE GODFATHER, LAST TANGO IN PARIS and GUYS AND DOLLS will remain classics of their genres. But he made some interesting choices along the way and certainly his role as Johnny Strabler as the biker outlaw in THE WILD ONE proved to be a significant cultural touchstone which was inspired by a rise in biker violence in the late 1940s early 50s. The second lot of twelve (12) 8 x 10" vintage original photos taken by Homer Van Pelt or Irving Lippman, many stamped and tagged on verso. Nine (9) feature Brando, one great image of Lee Marvin, and one of Mary Murphy, the girl at the diner. All in excellent condition. Estimate Value $600 - UP
