Marilyn Monroe: Three Original Newswire Photos, One Somewhat Infamous. Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962) Model, actress, singer, dancer and legend. Three vintage original 8 x 10" (some trimmed for publication) news photos two from the 1950s and one from the 1960s. 1.) A very famous trip made by Marilyn Monroe to Coyoacán, Mexico as a guest of Conrad Hilton. Here she is having a shot of tequila with Emilio Fernandez (director, actor and screenwriter known as "El Indio" and Maria Feliz, arguably the two most famous figures of Mexico's Golden Age of Cinema in the 40s and 50s. Photoplay was there to cover all the events, but unfortunately Monroe didn't pace herself and there are some less than flattering photos later, a bit over-served. Stamped on verso Property of Photoplay Magazine, Return To Library and also stamped George Zeno, NYC. 2.) Marilyn Monroe decked out in a corset, stockings and massive plumes of feathers sitting atop an elephant painted pink, ducking as close as she can from the concrete ceiling at the opening night of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus at Madison Square Garden; a benefit for the Leukemia Society in 1955. International News Service. 3.) UPI photo of Marilyn Monroe on the set of SOME LIKE IT HOT after a dip in the ocean with a crowd of young male onlookers, mouths open.
