Judea. Bar Kochba Revolt. 132-135 CE. Silver Zuz (3.3g). Undated, Year 3. (Simon), within a wreath of thin branches wrapped around eight almonds, medallion at top, tendrils at bottom. Reverse: (for the freedom of Jerusalem); Palm branch. Hendin 1416; Mildenberg 136. Degraded and chipped obverse die (final die state for O19), thus uneven details, but showing a very obvious rear profile of the head of Trajan or Hadrian as undertype. Reverse sharp and lustrous with remains of hoard patina in places. Extremely Fine. Estimated Value $350 - 400
