Jean Harlow and Clark Gable: Two Archives, 165 Total Vintage Re-Issue/Re-Strike 8 x 10 Photos. Jean Harlow (1911-1937) proved a sensation in the 1930s with her platinum blond hair and dazzling comedic talent. She was given her first big break by Howard Hughes in his WWI epic HELL'S ANGELS, but her popularity exploded when she signed with MGM and was featured in the films RED DUST, DINNER AT EIGHT and RECKLESS. Harlow died far, far too young from kidney failure at age 26. Offered is a notebook of 95 8 x 10" black and white vintage restrike/re-release portrait photos. All in excellent condition with the most dazzling images of Harlow imaginable. Also there are 20 excellent studio-issued black and white stills, primarily from the 1960 re-release from the Clark Gable, Jean Harlow and Mary Astor classic, RED DUST (1932). Clark Gable (1901-1960) one of the biggest names from the Golden Age of Hollywood, a leading man spanning 4 decades. Offered are 50 8 x 10 photos of which we do note about 8 vintage originals by Clarence Sinclair Bull and Frank Tanner. A combination of very striking portraits and stills from GONE WITH THE WIND, RED DUST, IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT, THE UNIFORM, SPORTING BLOOD, CALL OF THE WILD and more.
