Nicaraguan Flag Used by U.S.M.C. For Recognition Purposes During the US Occupation of Nicaragua, Late 1920s. Nicaraguan flag, 28 35", made of cotton. It belonged to Lt. Gen. Edwin A. Craig, U.S.M.C. Retired. General Craig carried this flag while serving as an officer in the Guardia Nacional de Nicaragua in the late 1920s. It was used for recognition purposes between the Nicaraguan Constabulary and U.S. forces. Lt. Gen Craig gave the flag to Carl A. Robin, who kept the flag in his collection of Marine constabulary material for years. A signed statement from Mr. Robin is included. Estimate Value $200 - 300
