Angie Dickinson: Intimate 7 Page Letter in 1965 Regarding Burt Bacharach, Frank Sinatra and the film What's New Pussycat? (born 1931) Intimate 7 page letter completely in her hand on Dorchester Hotel, London stationery. This was a pivotal time in her life after acclaim for her film The Killers and the beginning of her 16 year relationship with Burt Bacharach. Here she writes about the difficulties he is having scoring and writing songs for WHAT'S NEW PUSSYCAT, her helping him and Hal David in every possible way through the difficulties, her reaching out to Frank Sinatra to hear some of the songs, revealing Bacharach had proposed marriage, her accepting but not knowing when that would happen. A revealing letter to a woman named Laura who clearly Dickinson was very close to. What stands out is her breaking through Bacharach's "writer's block" and truly being his muse and helping him find his inspiration. A fantastic bit of pop-culture, life behind the scenes, intimate and romantic of a very popular couple in the 1960s, their work, and a very succesful film. Estimate Value $400 - UP
