Louwelsa Ewer. Height: 4"; diameter: 6-½". Blackberries rendered in warm, autumn shades appear on this right-handed ewer with fluted mouth. Artist Josephine Imlay has initialed the piece JI in the glaze to the right of the handle. The Louwelsa Weller half-circle seal is impressed to the base, as are the numbers 5, 7, and 580. With only a single blemish to the glaze (¼"), this piece is fine.
