Lot 232
1794 S-70 R2 VG10. A couple points sharper but there are several thin, shallow planchet fissures on the obverse plus similar fissures through UNITED, all as struck. Otherwise the planchet is smooth and attractive. The only contact marks are a couple rim bruises on each side, the strongest of these over ICA in AMERICA. Glossy chocolate and steel. The date is bold and the legends are clear. LDS, Breen state IV. The die crack at TY is strong and the die clashmark under ER in AMERICA (from Ms Liberty's nose) is clear.
