Map of Japan and the Sea of Japan (1703-1772) Engraving of Japan from the 18th Century by acclaimed French hydrographer and geographer Jacques Nicolas Bellin. He was a member of the Académie de Marine and of the Royal Society of London. Examined in frame, the map appears to be in very fine condition with overall light and even toning, not at all unexpected. 9¼ x 13" and very modestly framed in brick red lacquer frame.
