1849 N-26 R3 PCGS graded AU50. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate with very dark steel toning on the highpoints of the obverse, especially from star 3 to star 6. Just a few small contact marks including a rough nick on the left foot of the N in ONE. MDS, die state b. The earlier die lines left of star 3 are gone. Our grade is EF45 sharpness net EF40 for the darker highlights on the obverse. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 4 finer: 1 in 53, 2 in 62, 1 in 63. Estimated Value $200 - UP
