Lot 2191

1940 Mercury Dime. PCGS graded Proof 67. Splendid reddish gold toning around the periphery of the obverse and reverse, with solid white at the centers. Fully struck as expected, but especially clean for an early proof issue, as most are found with handling marks. If you need a really high end coin, and appreciate lovely toning, then here is a great piece to obtain. PCGS has graded 178 this high, and we note only 8 have been graded higher, all PR-68.
Estimated Value $500-UP.

Realized $690
