Robert Williams. "Reason for Being" Two Pencil Sketches One Complete & Signed. Robert Williams (1943 80 years old) underground comics icon and celebrated artist going on 60 years. His work is instantly recognizable and his art is found throughout the world in museums and private collections. Offered are two hand drawn sketches in pencil: one on onion skin signed by Williams in lower right corner 8 x 10.5", the other on trimmed sketch pad paper 8.5 x 14". In very fine to excellent condition.
On the sketch pad illustration, Williams has notes in his hand of random thoughts: " Reason for Being" "Interlocking Teeth" "Three Interpretations of a Pachuco" "Tattoo comes off arm and attacks person" "Robot Factotum" and more. Included is a copy of RIGORMORTIS SMILE printed booklet of Williams sketches. Estimated Value $1,000 - 2,000
