Lot 211

1849 N-14 R3- PCGS graded MS62 Brown. Frosty light olive with lighter golden olive toning on the reverse. The surfaces are satiny and nearly free of marks. The only notable marks, and they are barely visible, are two tiny low spots close off the end of the nose and a small group of tiny vertical ticks in the field over the right side of star 3. M-LDS, die state c. The vertical line inside the triangle of the 4 is gone and there are fine die cracks on the reverse. The added die lines from the curl at star 13 are sharp. Our grade is MS62+, close to MS63. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 4 finer in 63.
