1849 N-10 R3 PCGS graded AU53. Glossy dark olive and steel brown with lighter golden tan in a few of the protected areas. Looks like a cent that may have been recolored long ago. No notable contact marks and just light friction on the highpoints, but there are numerous tiny planchet flakes scattered over the obverse. A shallow flake between the date and star 1 and another at the bust tip can help identify this cent. LDS, die state d. The added die line at the right top of the T in UNITED is sharp and the lump on top of the coronet extends to below the lower left point of star 6. Our grade is net EF40.
