Lot 203

1804 Restrike R3 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Glossy light olive and steel brown with faded red in protected areas on the obverse. No defects. LDS with significant die rust and cracks. and the central details are weak in the centers due to excessive die polishing. These were made outside the US Mint in the 1860's using scrap mint dies that were sold to the public. The obverse was made from an altered 1803 S-261 and the reverse is from the 1820 N-12 die. Our grade is MS60.
