Attica, Athens. Silver Tetradrachm (16.84 g), ca. 168/5-42 BC. New Style issue. Ca. 138/7 BC. Glau. and Eche., magistrates. Head of Athena right, wearing triple crested Attic helmet decorated with Pegasos springing right. Reverse: A-ΘE, owl standing right, head facing, on overturned amphora; across field, magistrates' names: ΓΛ/AY and EXE; in right field, radiate head of Helios; small KT to left of owl's tail, A(?) on amphora; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 306. Large spread flan. Untoned. Very Fine. Estimate Value $400 - 500
