Lot 1996

1910-D. PCGS graded MS-65. A nice example with light gold toning and a Gem. A boldly original gold-surfaced coin whose high-end depth of detail in the strike complements the equally fresh mint bloom. Unlike the general run of pieces of this caliber, the strike is thoroughly convincing in all places, even where some weakness might be found at Liberty's upper body and in the eagle's chest feathers (PCGS # 9155) .
Estimated Value $2,500 - 2,600.

Realized $2,703
