1872 Quarter Dollar Octagonal Indian. BG-791 Rarity 3. PCGS graded MS-66. Lovely rich golden toning is reflective of the coin's high Gem grade standing. Also reflective surfaces around the satin-frosted Indian head. The large size portrait left little room for the feathers, when seem truncated at the top where the die engraver had to squeeze them in for fear of overlapping the rim. Pop 3; none finer at PCGS (PCGS # 10618) .
