History of the First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry, 1774-1874. Centennial Anniversary edition, Philadelphia, Hollowell & Co. 1874. 12" x 9¾", over 200 pages. Extremely fine. Professionally rebound in dark blue cloth with red-letter, gold-stamped title on spine. A history of the most famous cavalry troop during the American Revolution; the troop was also part of General Washington's personal guard. Many full-page illustrations, including Captains of the Guard, plus an Honorary Roll of outstanding members.
